Osa
Osa of Granite Mountain
Osa is a gorgeous dark sable female around 65 lbs. She is the daughter of Koda and Nalla and a blend of East German and Czech working lines. Osa is a loyal, intuitive companion with high prey drive who loves tug, scent work and affection rewards. Osa loves to please her handler and excels with a reward-based training. She is great with kids, farm animals, other dogs, and people. Osa is such a loyal companion and a dedicated shadow to her people. She is an incredibly easy dog to handle and train and has an excellent off-switch. She has a beautiful, compact, and agile composition that makes her great for agility work and endurance. Osa does not slow down in heat, cold, long hours, or fasting - nothing slows this girl down! Osa's puppies are perfectly suited for therapy work, scent work, agility, obedience, Search and Rescue, and active family companions. Osa has her Narcotics Detection Certification for vehicles and buildings with the ASCTI. Osa is rated "Excellent" Hips and "Normal" Elbows with the OFA. She is negative for DM. Osa can produce sable, solid black or black and tan pups depending on who she is bred to.
Sasha
Sasha Klara of Granite Mountain
Sasha is my dream shepherd in the flesh! She is the do anything shepherd who captures hearts everywhere she goes. Sasha is an absolute sweetheart with a ton of character. She is confident, smart, sassy, affectionate, and eager to please. Sasha's perfect day would consist of training, hiking, playing, and cuddling up in your lap. She loves her people and adores children. Sasha is social and playful with other dogs and a general delight to be around. Sasha is a very social girl but has a protective side when she senses her people are uneasy. This girl has drive! Sasha will do anything for her favorite reward - the ball. She has the demeanor, solid nerve, drive, off-switch and heart to go just about anywhere in her training. Sasha would do well in therapy work, service work, SAR, agility and detection work. She packs a lot of character into her 75 pounds and keeps her humans and visitors laughing all the time! This is the dog that will snuggle the kids and cats, peacefully sleep under my desk while I work, and show up for tracking jobs with endless energy. She does it all! Sasha is certified for Narcotics Detection in Vehicles and Buildings with the ASCTI. Sasha will make great dual-purpose family dogs with excellent working potential. She is DM negative and rated "Good" hips and "Normal" elbows with the OFA. Sasha can produce black and tan, solid black or sable pups depending on who she is bred to. She carries for long coat and can produce long coats when bred to a male who also carries for long coat.
Onyx
Onyx Moon of Granite Mountain
Onyx is the daughter of Zoja and Kovacs and has stolen our hearts from the beginning. This girl has a ton of drive and character that is perfectly balanced with sweetness and sociability. She is truly an exceptional shepherd all around. Onyx is the type of dog you can take to any social event and can learn any new environment quickly. She loves kids and fetch above all else. Onyx is fascinated by water and has a habit of swimming in pools and water buckets. She is a confident girl with an independent streak and is eager to learn. Onyx is a great prospect for SAR, tracking, detection, agility or advanced obedience and has a very level head for protection work. She also shows the resiliency and solid nerve for Schutzhund or French Ring and boy does she have drive! With her level head, sociability, sweetness and quick learning, we also expect her to produce some great service dog prospects. Onyx is an excellent addition to our pack who we could take many different directions. Onyx is titled in explosives detection for vehicles and buildings with ASCTI. She has "good" hips and "normal" elbows on her OFA prelims. We plan to breed her in late 2024/early 2025. Onyx can produce solid black, sable, and black and tan pups depending on who she is bred to.
Shaila
Shaila Nova of Granite Mountain
Shaila is one of our up and coming females and oh my is this girl the sweetest! Shaila is the daughter of Osa and Kovacs and she definitely inherited her mother's emotional intuition and exceptional looks. Shaila attaches strongly to her people and is always by our sides. She is in tune with our emotions and gives extra affection if we are down. She is not trained in therapy work, but she naturally has the foundation for it. She is a "velcro" dog who we can take anywhere with us and she always keeps us in her sight. She loves children, does great with cats, and ignores livestock. Shaila has medium-high ball drive with a solid off switch for home life. She can go and go when we're playing and then quickly settle when she comes into the house. Shaila loves to play in the water, snuggle her humans, chase her chuckit ball, and wrestle with her big sister Onyx. We plan to breed Shaila in late 2025 to early 2026 after she passes her hip and elbow tests and receives her working title. We expect her to be an excellent producer of therapy animals and family companions.

Kovacs
Phonix Aus Der Asche
Kovacs is the perfect example of a well-rounded German Shepherd with great working drive and an excellent off switch. He is owned and trained by Karin Wagemann at Nine Realms Canine Training in Spokane. Kovacs stole his trainer's heart and she decided to keep him as one of her own dogs because you can't let a perfect shepherd like this go! He is social with all people and with other dogs (males, females, and puppies). Clean and quite in the crate/house and great in the car. Environmentally solid on slick floors, stairs, tight spaces, uneven surfaces, elevated spaces, dark rooms, gunfire, etc. Excellent on and off switch and balance in protection and very clear headed. High ball drive and high hunt drive. He has full, firm, and hard grips on a sleeve, suit, and hidden sleeve. He can handle a lot of pressure from a decoy without issue. Very in tune with his handler and level headed in all situations. This is a go anywhere do anything dog. He is so well rounded and clear, he could be a personal protection dog, police dog, or service dog. Kovacs is 80 lbs and his titles include: ASCTI Patrol Tracking, CGC, CGC-A, CGC-U. Kovacs and Karin plan to continue their training towards French Ring and PSA. Kovacs is DM clear, has Penhip scores of 0.25 and 0.27 (this is similar to a Good or Excellent score with OFA) and OFA preliminary normal elbows. Kovacs produces medium-high to high drive pups and can produce solid black, black and tan and sables, depending on who he is bred to.
Groot
Groot vom Fyrestorm
Groot is a 75 pound medium drive boy from Czech and Ukrainian lines, owned by Fyrestorm Shepherds. He is a confident, outgoing guy who is so easy to handle that his primary handler is an 8-year-old, whom he follows everywhere. Groot is environmentally solid, safe in all situations and is social with people, cats, other dogs, and he adores kids. Groot has some foundation work in tracking and will be receiving his CGC certificates in 2024. His 8-year-old handler is practicing her training skills with Groot and they make quite the pair! Groot has an excellent off-switch and is happy to do just about anything with his family. He passes on his calm, even demeanor and his large blocky head to his progeny. Groot will make some excellent family companions and dual-purpose family dogs. He is DM negative and clear for pituitary dwarfism. He has OFA "Good" hips and "Normal" elbows, as well as PennHip scores of .28 / .35. Groot has a rare black masking color gene that is expressed in his coat while still carrying a sable and black and tan color gene. This means he can produce sable pups, black and tan and solid black pups.

Koda of Achilles Granite Mountain
RETIRED: Koda of Achilles is an 85 pound Black and Tan from Czech working lines. He is an even-tempered medium-high drive dog with strong nerves and a reliable off switch. Koda is a natural family farm dog who enjoys protecting his animals and watching over his family. He is well-mannered when introduced to strangers, gentle with livestock and cats, and loves all children. He has high ball and search drives and loves to work. Koda produces beautiful pups with strong nerves. He loves playing search games, hiking through the woods, and watching over his farm. Koda can be trusted to read his handler's body language and protect when needed or be polite when his protection is not needed. He is smart, strong, loving, and willing to please! We are lucky to have a dog like Koda in our breeding program. Koda is certified for explosives detection for vehicles and buildings through ASCTI. He is rated "Good" hips and "Normal" elbows.
ZOJA
Rzoja of Highlander Bluff
RETIRED: Rzoja (Zoja) is a 75 pound medium-high drive silver sable from Czech working lines. She has an excellent off switch for family/farm life which she passes to her pups. She loves absolutely everything from dogs to people to children. She is a social, amiable dog in all situations and a natural mama dog. Zoja has SOLID nerves and a steady temperament. Zoja enjoys protecting her farm from predators, hunting chipmunks, and playing mom to anything small around her. She loves a good snuggle and a soft bed. She is a work horse in drive mode and loves to track! Her line 2 breeding is a testament to her strong scenting abilities, which she passes to her offspring. She produces solid black, sable, and black and tan pups who will make great family, farm, or working dogs. Her medium-high drive pups with a reliable off switch, sociability and love of work make Zoja's progeny excellent multi-purpose dogs. Anyone looking for a gentle giant German Shepherd with excellent working potential will love one of Zoja's pups! NALLA
Nalla vom Barras Granite Mountain
RETIRED: Nalla vom Barras is a 65 pound red/silver sable who will do anything for her handler. She is a medium-high drive, LOYAL protector with a dedicated bite from East German working lines. Nalla has great ball and search drives and produces pups that are best suited for active homes. Her pups have gone on to enter many realms of service work and Schutzhund competitions. She produces dark sable pups. Nalla is VERY athletic and eager to please, no matter what is asked of her. She is a dream to train and work with! In Nalla's perfect world, we would do nothing but train and cuddle. She produces absolutely gorgeous pups who excel in training, especially in therapy work, agility, bite work, nose work, protection and sport activities. Nalla’s pups are best suited to a positive only training experience, with gentle corrections used only when necessary. Nalla is DM negative. She is rated "Fair" hips and "Normal" elbows.
